Emma English LL.B (Hons)
Emma graduated from Cardiff University with a 2:1 Bachelor of Law degree in 2015. She then went on to study her Legal Practice Course there completing the same with a Distinction in 2016.
After completing her LPC Emma gained practical legal experience undertaking work placements which exposed her to Criminal Law, Family Law, Public Children Matters and Conveyancing. Emma decided early on that she wanted to focus on Family Law and Public Law matters.
Prior to joining the firm Emma was a paralegal in a Public Children Law legal department in a firm in Barry where she gained substantial experience in both Private and Public Children Act matters.
Emma joined Nicol Denvir Purnell in 2016 and was offered a training contract. During her training contract she has dealt exclusively with Private and Public Children Act matters and towards the end of her training contract she focused exclusively on Public Law Children Act matters.
Emma specialises in offering advice and assistance to parents in Care Proceedings as well as being able to provide advice with regards to all other aspects of Social Services involvement.
Emma qualified as a Solicitor in January 2019 and was offered a position as an assistant solicitor without hesitation. Emma is extremely diligent and offers parents and other family members involved in Care Proceedings, advice and assistance throughout the proceedings and is able to advise on the PLO process as well as being able to represent parents and other family members during Court proceedings.
